Joomla also has collapsible fieldsets. Only they behave in a much nicer way.
We should have this available for Drupal as well, as alternative for the simple collapsible fieldsets.
It works simple: instead of leaving “parameters – basic” open, when you click “Parameters – advanced”, it collapses the first while uncollapsing hte second.
Please don’t comment on the *contents* of the fieldset, this is about he behaviour — collapsing the other one while uncollasing the new one.

That seems like a bad idea to me. I frequently want two fieldsets open…how do I do that in joomla?

Although it’s visually like Drupal’s collapsible fieldsets, it functions like the tabs (although JS powered). To me, this is two navigation ‘paradigms’ shifted into one that can not go well together and thus a bad idea.

@gregglesworth: it would be in addition to the normal fieldsets, not a replacement, but an additional widget.

Actually, having two fieldsets open at the same time should be optional.
Each fieldset should be focused on one "task" . It makes no sense to have the user work on two tasks simultaneously. So if you need two fieldsets open at the same time you need to ask what fields from those fieldsets really belong in one fieldset
…. That said, there should be an option to "open all fieldsets" so you can do a search on the page.

heh.

I created this photo about 10 months after you did trying to point out the same thing:
And in this thread, Tao Starbow pointed to the jQuery UI accordian feature that basically implements this behavior.
